Prince Harry made three when he accompanied Prince William and Kate Middleton to the London premiere of the new Sherlock Holmes film on Monday evening.
Even though they were invited to the event in London’s Leicester Square, the three reportedly eschewed the red carpet to avoid stealing the spotlight from the stars of the film, including Robert Downey, Jr., Jude Law, and Rachel McAdams. Rebecca English of the Mail Online notes, “The trio were invited to the premiere of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes film but, according to Clarence House, didn’t want to turn the opening night into a royal circus when it was an occasion for the actors.”
Harry and William have been making the most of their time before the upcoming Christmas holidays. This week, the pair attended The Sun’s “Millies” Awards, which honor the achievements of military servicemen, as well as the annual pre-Christmas family luncheon thrown by The Queen and Prince Philip. William also helped to celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of his favorite charities, Centrepoint.

Royal watchers were all a-twitter — literally! — with a rare sighting of Prince William and his girlfriend, Kate Middleton, out and about in London this weekend, likely celebrating William’s recent success on crucial exams in his quest to become a search-and-rescue pilot.
