Photo Credit: amazon.comFor those interested in the upcoming Robin Nunn book, William & Kate: Celebrating a Royal Romance, I have some news on when we can expect to see the book on shelves.

The book’s publishers pass on that the book isn’t caught up in any legal questions — Robin Nunn is someone who has worked with the palace for years and remains on good terms.  So, Nunn’s new photos will be published, but only after William and Kate officially announce their engagement.

A rep from the publishing house tells me that “the book has always been intended as a celebratory commemoration of Kate and William’s relationship and as such was planned to co-incide with the announcement of their engagement.”  They’ve decided that the book will therefore be more appropriate for publication after the big announcement has been made, which explains the delay from the original stated publishing dates on bookseller websites.

So, William and Kate watchers, you’ve got two media events to look forward to when we finally see the couple showing off the engagement ring on the palace lawn: the BBC’s Their Story documentary and Robin Nunn’s Celebrating a Royal Romance book.  If you want to have your copy reserved for the future release, Amazon has it available for pre-order here.

Photo Credit: amazon.comRoyal photographer Robin Nunn’s anticipated new book about Prince William and Kate Middleton, William & Kate: Celebrating a Royal Romance, was supposed to be released on May 1 — but it’s still not on shelves almost a month later.

Amazon.com lists the following blurb for Nunn’s book: “In a series of more than 200 outstanding pictures brought together here for the first time, the leading royal photographer examines the intertwined lives of Prince William, second in line to the throne and grandson of Her Majesty the Queen, and Catherine “Kate” Elizabeth Middleton, daughter of self-made millionaires.

“From their first meeting at St. Andrews University to the extraordinary moment at William’s passing out parade at Sandhurst, when Kate became a global figure of fascination and speculation in her own right, the book offers a comprehensive, insightful look at what might be a defining relationship that helps secure the British Monarchy for the next generation. Public interest in Kate has never been greater, and with the prospect of the most important Royal marriage in a generation increasingly likely, this book provides the perfect opportunity to find out more about the young, beautiful woman who seems to have captured the heart of the country’s most eligible man.”

Amazon still lists May 1 as the book’s release date, and the site is still offering the book for pre-order.  The book’s publisher is Pavilion, an imprint of Anova Books.  The publisher’s site lists Nunn among its authors, but makes no mention of the William/Kate book.

Some have speculated that the book has been delayed in anticipation of a release closer to an engagement announcement (and then hopefully higher sales), while others have suggested that the book may be caught up in legal wrangling.  Either way, readers will have to wait to see Nunn’s compilation of photographs.
