There’s more video evidence this week of the press harassment Kate Middleton has had to face since her romantic relationship became public.
This video clip was recorded on October 17, 2007, outside of Raffles nightclub in London. Kate is seen leaving the club on King’s Road, Chelsea, with her younger sister, Pippa. The two are besieged by photographers, and Kate covers her face with her hand while Pippa seems to use a mobile phone to record the incident.
When the paparazzi ask Kate to move her hand, she refuses, clearly telling them that this is her “private life.” The photographers disperse, laughing and calling her “royal highness” over their shoulders.
It’s really no wonder Kate left London for the relative calm of Bucklebury, isn’t it? Members of the royal family would have security with them to help control a scene like this, but their girlfriends and boyfriends must fend for themselves until the relationships are made official.
