Just in time for the bank holiday weekend in Britain, Prince William and Kate Middleton returned from their reported jaunt to the Caribbean island of Mustique late last week.
The pair were spotted at Gatwick airport outside London after their return flight landed. With William at the wheel, the two drove away from the airport in his Audi Quattro, followed by protection officers in another car. The Sun noted that the car is new, and explained that “Bosses of the German firm will hope sales soar as they did when Diana drove a convertible A4 in the 1990s.”
Rumors have been circulating for weeks that William and Kate were to visit with The Queen at Balmoral during the August bank holiday weekend, which extends through today. Whether or not they jetted up to Scotland is still unsure — we’ll all have to stay tuned!
