Photo Credit: celebrity-gossip.netKate Middleton made an appearance in London on Thursday, attending the premiere of Tenacity on the Tasman at The Odeon in Leicester Square.  The film is a documentary about Olly Hicks’s attempt to row solo around the world.  Olly is a friend of Prince William, and his rowing sojourn was sponsored by Sir Richard Branson, whose daughter, Holly Branson, is also a friend of Kate and William.

To the premiere, Kate wore a blue dress that was last seen in public on an evening out last December with Prince William.  She paired the dress with black tights and boots and a black jacket and pashmina.  She carried a black handbag and accessorized with a pair of gold chandelier-style earrings.

Kate attended the event, which helped to raise money for the charity Hopes and Homes for Children, with Holly and friend Trini Lough.

If any of our readers get this one wrong, I’ll be very, very surprised! :)

The celebrity playing for charity here is Lauren Conrad, an American reality television personality.  She won $50,000 for the charity of her choice by correctly answering that “Kate” is indeed the name of Prince William’s girlfriend.

Think she’s a blog reader? ;)

Photo Credit: Reuters PicturesKatie Nicholl didn’t only drop silly hints that Kate was America-bound last weekend — she also revealed that the royal girlfriend is a big fan of an actor from the American television show Gossip Girl.

According to Nicholl, Prince Harry met Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford recently: “The Royal was delighted to meet Chace Crawford, the 23-year-old star of the US show, backstage at last week’s Hard Rock Calling festival in Hyde Park.”

Nicholl says the two of them talked after the show and got on like a house on fire.  And when Harry told his big brother’s girlfriend, she was reportedly quite jealous of the meeting.

She adds, “Apparently Kate Middleton who is also a huge Chace fan, was green with envy when she heard Harry had met him.”

Photo Credit: dailystar.co.ukThe Daily Star writes today that producers of the BBC’s stalwart ballroom hit, Strictly Come Dancing, think Kate Middleton would be the perfect contestant for their show.

An unnamed quoted “show insider” explains, “Kate is top of our list of dream signings this year. She’s the type of person we’d love to have. She oozes sex appeal but is also a firm favourite with women who admire the way she has conducted her relationship with William.”

Certainly the producers are quite aware that the discreet conduct they praise Kate for will also prevent her from joining the other celebrities on the dance floor.  Strictly just isn’t a forum for future queens.

Even so, Kate’s not the first person associated with the royal family to be courted by the show.  Princess Beatrice was once suggested as a possible dancing star as well, and outlets actually reported that Zara Phillips had accepted a slot on the show last summer, though she never appeared on the program.

Photo Credit: telegraph.co.ukRichard Eden, who writes the Mandrake column in The Daily Telegraph, revealed on May 24 that the BBC is producing a documentary in anticipation of an engagement between Kate and Prince William.

The television program, called Their Story, will reportedly be aired on the evening of the engagement announcement.

A spokesperson for the network plays down the report, offering that they “plan ahead for different eventualities,” but an unnamed senior executive counters that “we would not be spending money on this programme if we had not been assured that they were definitely going to get engaged.”

Clarence House is aware of the production but is not involved.
